1) Summarise the ownership and production of Oh Comely - how did it start and who owns it?

The origin of Oh Comely started with three friends - in Oxford University, in 2010. The intent was to create a magazine (for women) without the oversaturated appearances of fad diets and photoshopped covers. 
Iceberg Press, and independent publishing company set up by the aforementioned three friends, had owned Oh Comely.

2) What is the print circulation and how many subscribers do they have?

Oh Comely had a circulation per issue of around 10,000 copies; 3,000 of which to loyal subscribers. 

3) How does the editor Alice Snape characterise the typical Oh Comely reader?

Oh Comely readers were characterised as educated and politically aware and looking for a unique and thought-provoking look at the kind of lives they aspire to lead.

4) What are the key aspects of the magazine's design aesthetic discussed by the editor? How might this link to audience pleasures?

The clean and minimalist design is done intentionally as to bring attention to the printed words and pictures. This links to the audience pleasure - diversion - as, in a way, the design is entertaining to look at. The natural portrait photos to accompany interviews is a clear form of personal identity, the audience is given a face to associate the interviewee and, as they get to know that person, builds a personal relationship - another audience pleasure - with the interviewed person.

5) How does the magazine represent women in terms of its production team and editorial decisions?

Oh Comely consisted of a crucial team of four women, each working part-time on the magazine - as well as a number of freelancers too (both women and men). Magazines should be reactive and change to fit the times they are talking about, Alice Snape believes/ed.
